Hey, guys! This is Sean and I’m standing inside a property we bought last week. It’s going to be a rental property for us. Right now, it’s in pretty rough shape, but we’re going to get it fixed up, and hopefully rent it out in the next couple months, here, to a tenant. Let’s check it out!
This is a row home. It’s located in Folcroft, PA. It is four bedrooms, two bathrooms. As you can see, you come inside and down a small set of stairs. The owners before us had converted this garage into a little suite area, so you have bedroom, as well as a bathroom. We tore that out, and we’re going to put a tiled shower in there. Over here will be your washer/dryer with the wash sink. The heating system was in good shape, so we’re going to keep that. We got some trash out to work on, and we replaced the water heater. Down here is a cool little living space. We’re going to put the luxury vinyl plank down here. We’ll get the drop ceiling back in and those lights up, so it’ll be a cool little man cave or living area for the people staying downstairs.
Work your way out. The main level here, it’s a nice, big, open living area. You can see we put some recessed lights in already. We’re going to take that glass wall down, just to make a nice, clean look. Then, behind you, here, you got the kitchen, sort of an open concept. We’ll probably put a little breakfast bar there. Whoever ends up renting it out gets a couple stools, be a nice place to hang out.
Then, you got a little yard, here, landscaping work to do. A nice little spot to get outside, enjoy, stay out of the rain with the awning that we need to replace. We’ll head upstairs. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with another full bathroom. We’re going to do luxury vinyl plank throughout. We’ll probably do some high-traffic carpet on the stairs. We got bedroom one, putting a ceiling fan in. Nice big closet. We’ll replace that bifold door. Bedroom two, similar setup, another good closet space, here, which is always nice to have, especially if you’re renting it out. This is kind of unique. We have our bathroom, which has pretty much been demoed, and there’s also a door to access the bedroom from the master. In here, you’ll have your vanity, toilet, and then, we’re going to put a tiled tub.
Plan is to take this closet out because we already have nice big closet space, here, so you’ll walk in. It’ll be way more open. Got your ceiling fan, there. This’ll be a great spot for whoever ends up renting. Then, you can see some damage, there. The sellers didn’t live here, the past few years. It was empty, so developed a leak and they didn’t catch it, but already got the roof replaced. That’s ready to go. We’ll get this demoed, cleaned out next couple days, and we are excited to see the final product. I’ll keep you guys posted and thanks for joining us. Take care.
